Views are all about you deciding how the page should look, to make it quicker to skim the text and to give you more control while reading deeply. The View commands are likely to see a lot of change, so please give us any feedback you might have.
Please note: Views are not on by default, you will need to turn them on in the User Settings.
Only
This set of commands allow you to choose what text should be shown in the document. Shortcut: o
this (t)
This command grays everything that is not selected and puts the selected text in a white box. NOTE: Click on the gray area to dismiss the box. You may do further Hyperwords commands on this text in the box, including View commands.
sentences sentences with 'selection' (s)
Shows only sentences which contain the selected text.
sentences without 'selection' (w)
Shows only sentences which do not contain the selected text.
only paragraphs with 'selection' (p)
Shows only paragraphs with the selected text. The other paragraphs do not disappear, they become one line long and turn gray. You can click on them to expand them.
only paragraphs without 'selection'(o)
Shows only paragraphs which do not contain the selected text.
full page (f)
Shows all sentences and paragraphs that are on the page - undoing any choices of hiding sentences or paragraphs.
flow
This is a relatively experimental View which reformats the text to make it, hopefully, easier to read. Shortcut: f
text (t)
Flows the text to break it up.
collapse back (c)
Undo-flow text.
break (b)
Adds a break.
indent (i)
Indents the text.
Color
The color options allow you to highlight selected text (h) (and in addition to a few other options) make all the links on the page black - black links (b) to make some pages with too many links easier to read. Shortcut: c
Type
The 'set type' command lets you change the selected text to be bold, italic, bold & italic or strike trough. Shortcut: t
